Project Falcon felt sluggish (not that a 200ci Inline-6 will ever feel fast). So I pulled the plugs to see if there were any signs of it running lean OR rich. Never seen this before. They all look the same, otherwise I would think that was possibly coolant.

Do you add anything to your oil or gas?

That’s just the reflection of the trees. Oil and coolant show no signs of mixing. If it WAS a head gasket I would imagine only 1 or 2 plugs would look like this. I think it sat for a long time, and it’s the junk from the bottom of the gas tank. It has a brand new tank, and rebuilt carb. My mind is blown as to why he couldn’t spare $6 for new plugs.

If it idles fine, it’s not leaking antifreeze. I would guess it is a bit lean though.

It’s definitely some type of contaminant. I just finished putting new plugs in, and went for a drive. Feels like it has 20 more HP. I’ll put some miles on it, and inspect them again.

The color looks really good. Deposits are probably sulfur or some other gasoline additive. Plugs have to be in there for a long time to accumulate that much, but it’s nothing to worry about.
